Thank you for all the lovely comments! We were on a nature walk in a park where deer live and are known to come close if you give them apples but not this close! Neirin was just fearless and walked right up to them, they seemed baffled but not too threatened because he is so small. Typical of my little guy, he fearlessly heads forth and everyone else sort of gives in! It was a really special 5 minutes until the deer got spooked and off it went.
